Outerwear My favorite category! Surprisingly, aside from simple pouches & reversible polar fleece mittens, hoodies & jackets were one of the first things I taught myself how to make. I suspect they are still one of my favorite creations because they have so much surface area just itching for appliqués ;cD.
Naturally, since I wear my creations exclusively, I build them to last. My jackets are multi-seasonal, and can easily be worn with layers, without feeling confining. All of the pockets and hoods are lined with either fleece, or flannel (unless requested otherwise), to keep heads & hands toasty warm. Backs of jackets are lined with muslin, to protect the inner stitching of the appliqués. Seams are topstiched where appropriate, as well as sealed inside lined portions, whenever possible. I take great care during construction, as well as test the durability of all my clothing, to assure they will last through many, many washings. I aim to make creations that will not only be comfortable and look good, but also last a lifetime.
Custom orders are considered on an individual basis, upon inquiry. All hand-made items are one-of-a-kind. Due to fabric selections, some items may be closely simulated, yet never duplicated.

Blue Moonshine

Materials: 100% cotton corduroy; Silver prism fabric; Cotton/Poly fleece inside hood & outside pockets; 100% cotton muslin lined back panel; 100% cotton lined, inside Velcro pockets; hemp cord drawstring, through metal grommets; & a durable, heavy-duty plastic zipper.
Description: KC original moon knot (meaning I drew this knot & it is unique to my work) in black pinwale corduroy, appliquéd over a silver/sparkle fabric with rainbow prisms. Hood, outside and inside pockets consist of same black cord. Inside pockets are lined with calico, and sealed with Velcro. Back body panel & sleeves are medium wale, light blue corduroy, while the hood & front panel are a super soft, medium wale, brown cord. Hood and front pockets are lined with snuggly fleece. Hood cinches up with a hemp cord drawstring, exiting garment through press-set, metal eyelets.
